Mister Stanley Cattlemens.jpg

Congratulations Brother Stanley!

Brother Thornton Stanley, Jr. elected as Regional Vice President of the Alabama Cattlemen!

An entrepreneur by nature, Thornton means business when it comes to beef cattle. The Huntsville native’s father first purchased the family farm in 1969 and started with a few Texas Longhorn cattle. Since the time he could walk, Thornton has helped out with everything from tagging newborn calves, to managing grazing forages, to digging the ditch where they installed the pipeline to their first irrigated hayfields. His father, who is a graduate of the agricultural department at Alabama A&M University, poured into his children his knowledge of soil types, heterosis and hybrid vigor and how all the many components of managing a farm come together to maximize production.

Today, Diamond S Farms is an 80-head Angus-based cow-calf operation. The farm spans over 500 acres in the rolling hills of northwest Alabama.

6th Annual Revival!

The Brother's from the Huntsville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. held our Sixth Interdenominational Spring Revival, April 16-18, 2018, beginning each night at 7:00 PM at the First Missionary Baptist Church, Huntsville, Alabama. This evangelistic effort by the fraternity continued to be a collaborative activity between local churches, service organizations and the Huntsville community. The greater Huntsville community was blessed to hear the evangelist for the week, Reverend Willie Dwayne Francois, III, Senior Pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church Pleasantville, New Jersey, a gifted man of God, and a Brother of the noble clan of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Worship through music was led by the First Missionary Baptist Church Youth Adult Ministry (FMBC YAM) Choir, Singing Pearls of Gamma Epsilon Omega, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the Alpha Phi Alpha Ensemble, and Kappa Chorus from the Huntsville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. The Huntsville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. initiated this Revival as an opportunity to come together as a Greek Letter Organization with the community in which they served to proclaim the faith that our Founders had through worship and songs; and seek inspiration and guidance through the word of God as they expanded their community involvement and service initiatives.  This opportunity provided a worship experience that serves to reclaim the lost, and continue to build upon the foundation that was built in 1911 by our Founders.

2017 Thanksgiving Service Project

On November 15, 2017, through the efforts of the Huntsville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and the Kappa Foundation of Huntsville, the Brothers and Kappa League/Kappa Knights worked together for a successful 2017 Thanksgiving Food Basket Community Service event. Through our efforts, we ensured that six families in Madison County will enjoy Thanksgiving dinner. This is just another way we are fulfilling the “DREAMS” of our FOUNDERS and CHARTER MEMBERS. We are making a difference in our community and our KL/KK young men are being taught some valuable life lessons. Thanks again, YITB and Happy Thanksgiving!
